OASIS For Teens

OASIS For Teens

“It’s almost unbelievable how much better things are in our home. I want other parents and children to know: it’s never too late to get help for your pain.”

- Mother of a Journeys participant

The grief journey can be lonely for a teenager and filled with sadness, anger, and fear.

oasis-campOur Center’s OASIS group is a dinner-discussion program connecting teens who have experienced the death of a significant person in their lives with each other to learn about grief and creative ways to work through it. It’s a time and a place to relax with peers walking the same path, to release bottled-up feelings, to gain new energy, and to move toward a better balance in life.

Our OASIS group is provided to teenagers at no cost thanks to a generous grant from the Wardle Family Foundation.

The healing multi-week program meets from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at
Charlottesville’s Mary Williams Community Center at 233 4th Street NW.
