We Honor Veterans
“HOP did a terrific job helping my dad. We know he felt honored, relevant, and valued.”
- A patient’s daughter
We are specially trained for and compassionately understand the unique challenges facing our military men and women, and are committed to serving those who have served us.
The oldest and most experienced hospice in the region, which has expertly and lovingly helped tens of thousands of terminally ill patients since 1980, Hospice of the Piedmont brings dignity, healing, and peace to the serious illness, death, and grief experience. Our professional staff and superbly trained volunteers make the process gentle and stress-free for our patients who are veterans and their families by providing compassionate pain control and symptom management wherever the patient is: at home or in the hospital, retirement community, assisted living facility, or nursing home.
We participate in the We Honor Veterans program in partnership with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). We Honor Veterans: Hospice Professionals on a Mission to Serve is a national initiative supporting hospice organizations through education and advocacy. The program is committed to guiding America’s veterans and their families through their life stories toward a peaceful ending.
