“We were stunned by the amazing people who came to care for our loved one. Truly, you answer to a higher calling than the rest of us.”

- A patient’s son

As the only community-based, nonprofit hospice in the area, with a deep history, a profound connection, and a strong commitment to our community, our mission is to positively transform the way people view the serious illness, death, and grief experience. Our staff and volunteers do just that, with unparalleled expertise. But as important as their credentials is their love for our organization. Our staff and volunteer teams are invested in our purpose: to provide terminally ill patients with world-class, compassionate, expert comfort care and to share the journey with loved ones of all ages–children to adults–with a safe and supportive place to grieve.

Our staff and volunteers often say that their roles at HOP are not work, but a calling.
