Michael S. Dobson, MD, HMDC is board-certified in family medicine as well as hospice and palliative medicine. Born and raised in Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada, a small mining town, he studied art history and biochemistry at Queen’s University and then medicine at Saba University. Michael did a residency in rural family medicine at the University of Nebraska and then a fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at the University of Virginia. His interest in hospice and palliative medicine started just before medical school when he volunteered at the Kensington Hospice House in Toronto, Ontario.
