Dr. Kellie Mitchell joined the Hospice of the Piedmont in August of 2024, shortly after completing a Fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Mitchell also completed their UVA Emergency Medicine Residency in June 2023. They have a BS in Biochemistry from Mississippi State University and completed their medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

When not practicing medicine, they are creating and moving. They have competed in aerial dance and enjoy music, painting, and writing poetry and fiction.
