Ashley Doherty

Development Associate

Ashley Doherty joined the Hospice of the Piedmont Development team in August 2024. A native of Charlottesville, she is a proud graduate of the University of Virginia. Before joining Hospice of the Piedmont, Ashley worked in construction design for a local homebuilder, where she honed her skills in project management and client relations. Her passion for community engagement and philanthropy inspired her to make a career shift to Hospice of the Piedmont, where she now supports the Development team with fundraising initiatives and donor relations.

Ashley is married and has two teenage sons who keep her on her toes. In her free time, she enjoys taking walks with friends, playing pickleball, and spending quality time with her family. Ashley is excited to bring her enthusiasm and local roots to her role, helping to further Hospice of the Piedmont’s mission in the community she loves.
