GRATITUDE IS THE MEMORY OF THE HEART

Having a loved one in hospice or palliative care can profoundly change your life. Many families share that during this challenging journey, a particular caregiver, team, or volunteer made a special connection with them or their loved one. Often, families want to know how they can express their gratitude for the Hospice of the Piedmont caregiver whose kindness and compassion had a significant impact. The Grateful Family Program at Hospice of the Piedmont offers a way to do just that.

“Gratitude makes sense of your past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow”
— Melody Beattie

RECOGNIZE A CAREGIVER

You may wish to honor a Hospice of the Piedmont physician, nurse, social worker, spiritual or grief counselor, doula, music therapist, hospice aide, or volunteer who brought you or your loved one an extra measure of comfort in your time of need. One way to recognize this special person or team is to make a gift in their honor.

Your gift truly matters. Thank you for paying tribute to a Hospice of the Piedmont caregiver who made a difference.

My grandfather lived out the last few days of his life at the Hospice House and I have to say that the nurses were amazing! Very attentive and helpful. They answered all of our questions as best they could and they all seemed to genuinely care about their patients and families. I don’t think my grandfather had rested as good in the past year as he did here in this facility. It’s very calm and quiet, a very peaceful environment. I’m forever grateful for their tremendous amount of help in such a difficult part of life.

Grateful Family

Words do not adequately express our profound thanks to all of you for your loving care, selfless attitudes and the sincere love you extended to him and all of our family and friends. The week we had with him when he was lucid and talkative was a treasure for us. We thank you for your tolerance of us in times when we may have been too demanding and thank you for your compassion in those times when we were saddened.

Grateful Daughter

I am writing to thank you for the care you provided to my wife. We found the staff extremely compassionate and they ensured my wife was as comfortable as possible and in no pain. The loss is unbearable
