Amanda Humphries

Amanda Humphries joined Hospice of the Piedmont in February 2023, bringing a strong background in both administrative support and patient care. Raised in Staunton and Churchville, Virginia, Amanda served in the U.S. Navy for five years before transitioning into banking and, ultimately, healthcare. She holds an Associate Degree in Nursing and has worked in a variety of clinical and administrative roles, including time with Augusta Health’s Oncology Department and seven years as a Nursing Care Partner and Administrative Assistant in the Med Surg unit at Sentara RMH.

Before joining the Palliative Medicine team, Amanda supported Hospice of the Piedmont’s Human Resources and Bereavement teams as an Administrative Coordinator. Her unique blend of military service, clinical experience, and organizational support makes her a valuable asset to our care team.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys hiking, attending UVA baseball games, spending time with family, and visiting the many “LOVE” signs across Virginia.
