Hannah Catherine Allport
Director of Development and Donor Relations
Hannah Catherine brings more than 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience to her role, with a career that spans both local, national, and international arenas. Most recently, she served with Virginia Humanities, and before that, led development efforts at the Virginia High School League (VHSL) as Director of Development. There, she oversaw all aspects of fundraising and donor engagement, guided marketing initiatives, and served as the liaison to the VHSL Foundation. Her professional journey also includes roles with the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks and the London-based sports marketing firm AFCC. She also spent more than a decade teaching in the Department of Theatre and Dance at James Madison University. Hannah Catherine lives in Charlottesville, Virginia, with her 11-year-old pup, and her two nearly grown children remain frequent and welcome fixtures. Outside of work, she is a devoted fan of regular exercise, especially hiking and dancing – often in the kitchen where joy and rhythm go hand in hand. Proud to be part of the Hospice of the Piedmont family, she is honored to serve as Director of Development and Donor Relations. In this role, she is committed to strengthening the organization’s impact by building meaningful connections, sharing powerful stories, and supporting the mission of compassionate, community-rooted care.
