Lisa Schneider

Development Associate

Lisa joined the Hospice of the Piedmont Development team in 2022. As a pediatric nurse, wife, and mother to 5 children she brings her cumulative life experiences to the team. Having worked in Development as a volunteer for 6 years, the joy found in philanthropic work led her to Hospice of the Piedmont where she supports the team with administrative tasks and gift processing. Originally from Lynchburg and after a 20-year stint in Virginia Beach, the mountains called her back to the Charlottesville area in 2008. She loves being surrounded by the beauty of the mountains, rivers and lakes in our area and going for walks in nature as often as possible. With the family all grown, she has become a river rat as she and her husband build their empty nest on the James River.
